while running the risk of sounding a right idiot which type, our how can i tell is the starter moter on aunt nelly :roll: one of the many"ISSUES" she has developed of late :cry: .The upside is we know where we are going
yer better not naff this up an come back to these shores or god help me yer auld aunt nelly will jump out of her grave an like as not kick yer teeth in......

Hi,
Can you give us wee bit more to go on, the year of the vehicle and type of engine i.e: 2.5 diesel, 2.5 petrol, 2.25 diesel, 2.25 pertol, 200 TDi, 300 TDi, V8 or TD5 would be handy. :p

With this info then I'm sure someone will be able to give you some info on what starter motor you have and maybe even a part number.  :wink:

Also, tell us a bit about the problem you've got with it, someone may know how to sort it or know a short cut.   :D

Budgie, Nigels motor is a V8 (3.5) on a C plate :)

That helps then.  :D

The info I've managed to find says the starter should be either RTC5228R which was fitted upto 1985 or the later & shorter RTC6061N which is about £75 new.  :wink:
