Can I use my Series 3 rad or should I be upgrading it :?
When all the oil has drained out the leak stops.

I would have thought looking at a v8 rad you may have to change it, not done it myself, although if you fitted an electric fan lit you may get round it that way

I've still got the 4 core Series 3 rad on my truck and it seems to be fine.

I haven't had to switch the electric fan on yet but I did have to replace the rad cap when I realised that the rubber seal was missing, allowing the water to be dumped into the expansion bottle and then overboard.

Mine spits all it's oil out way before it gets warm !!

I did run it for a fair while before though without problems (and with a V6 in it before with no problems too....just gotta keep it clean!)

I have a spare RR rad.  All fine and it will fit as long as you make some new brackets.
