Hi Guys

Old Joe is playing up at the moment he doesn't like 3rd gear at a particular spot.

got a rough idea but would appreciate other's so i can start elliminating things.

it only started yesterday bit puzzled  :(thinkhard):

does it select 3rd when you are stationary with or without the engine running?if it will select when engine running and not moving it could be the synchro, does it make a grating noise when you select it?
might be worth draining the gearbox oil into a container to see if any bits of metal are in there! :cry:

Is it worse hot or cold?

You could try Slick 50

It'll be worth changing the oil for a few quid, can make all the difference. Or you could splash out and buy some synthetic stuff from Difflock. Got rid of my knotchy 3rd gear instantly.
