Rear seats for Range Rover
« on: May 27, 2005, 21:27:24 »
Hi all

I'm looking for some seats to go in the back of a Range Rover (backward facing ones that fit in the boot).

We need to turn a 5 seater Rangie into a 7 seater.

P.S. as cheap as possible

Thanks
James

It doesn't look like they do anything that'll do the job.

Also, I guarantee they're too expensive for what we want.

BTW, we are capable of bodging, so something the right sort of size that needs some modifying would do (preferably second hand - cheaper)

I think they're too tall

and I assume the bench seat ( http://members.mud-club.com/profiles/turtle/gallery/sale2/3/573340-1114893341.jpg ) is too wide.

What about the folding twin-bench that can be found in the rear of Volvo estates?
We had one in the 740SE that we used to have, they were comfy & folded into a reccess about 6 inches deep.

Obviously the mounting bracketry would have to be cobbled together to fit a RR & maybe a false-floor to make it all flat again?

Have you thought about asking your insurance company before you start?
