Does it still have a military plate, usually inside the cab, mines by my right knee on the bulkhead, should have the designation 1/2 ton etc, a military registration number on it, and the chassis number somewhere on it

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40

I assume so as it's on a Q plate, but we got no documents with it.

Should be interesting with no chassis number so no V5 etc, have you applied for it?

Sometimes the plate may be down the side of the rad mounting assembly on the drivers side under the bonnet, after that, sounds like it may not have one fitted, the one in the cab is the only one I have on mine

hi
try looking for chassis number on the front r/h spring shackle bracket, also on an aluminium data plate fixed to the seat box, and to the bulkhead. On late series 3 with vin numbers the data plate was often located inside the engine bay fixed to the bulkhead. Youmight find it might have been covered in waxal so it will need cleaning off,I found mine in the center off the foot wells
hope this helps
