Td5 dash switches
« on: June 01, 2005, 18:26:00 »
Spent the afternoon (in between rain showers !) carefully removing all the excess wiring on the 110 (previous owner was a leccy board, so lots of 12v sockets and flashing beacon wires etc !). As the truck is a real basic model, it's only got the hazard light switch and rear fog switch on the radio console, all the others are blanks - apart from the switch to the left of the hazard switch, and the two to the right of it........these have blank covers, but the real switch base is there, all wired out !

Anyone know what these 3 switch positions are used for on fancier versions ?

If you had all of the switches, you would have:

Electric windows, heated seats, headlamp (angle) adjust, rear wash, rear wipe, rear fog light, rear heated screen, front heated screen, cigarette lighter and optional front fog/spot lights...

Have a look here: http://www.reedx.net/landrover/mods/2002dash/part5/index.htm

Although this site isn't really relevant to your TD5... as you already have parts of the harness and the later dash/switches.
Buy me another drink - you're still ugly!

Nice one Ian,

Some useful stuff on that website too. Just need to find out if the rear wash & wipe loom is fitted.........time to take some more bits apart   . Then off the breakers again for a rear wiper assembly - my 110 has a rear screen, but it's blanked off from the inside, I'm gonna remove the solid blank panel and replace it with a mesh grill - so that I can see out the back window again !
