Is this a good deal
« on: June 03, 2005, 17:35:50 »
I have been quoted £1000.00 + VAT for a 200TDi conversion Kit (engine, Rad, Intercooler etc) for my 110. By Cheshire cat transplants.
Costs a  bit more than eBay but it's local so ill save a few bob on the collection, all the eBay ones seam to be miles from me :( .
Dose this price seam about right?
Regards
Matthew

:D Ide agree with Andy The Landy, fairly good price that with rad and intercooler etc..
Just depends on the engine condition i suspose, do you know the mileage on the engine ?.
Has the belts been done etc... if so when.
It might have low mileage, but was it driven hard, or it may have high mileage but well looked after...?
If in first you dont suceed, try second....
If it aint broke, your not trying ard enough....

The chap reckoned it had 57thou on the clock when it was stripped (they only had the one in stock). The condition of the engine will be an unknown commodity where ever i get it unless it has had a rebuild etc so ill do the belts when it's  fitted.
Won’t be getting one for a bit though, not whilst I’m a poor student again, the college have just demanded £1300 in tuition fees for this year  . Going back to been a student again after working it’s twice as hard not having any money.
