I am having a real headache getting hold of a tin of spray primer for bare aluminium. Paint job has come to a stand still until I have this.

Does anyone know where I can get a tim by mail order, or can anyone get some for me and I'll send them the money, please......... I need to get the car painted before my wedding in 4 weeks.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but Halfords sell Acid-Etch primer in a purple spray can. I'm sure you need acid-etch for aluminium. Check the can out, find out who makes it and see they can supply.

If it's etch primer then why is Ali primer sold. I have ordered some of the Ali stuff, now I;m unsure if its the right thing.

As to painting does anyone have any tips on spraying, amount of thinner, technique and so on.

A link would be great

Cheers
