wheel offsets??
« on: June 08, 2005, 21:59:10 »
hiya

gonna fit  31/10.5/15 goodyear mtr

ive ordered some new wheels to suite but they have a -19mm offset, and a 9"depth, ( though i was told they were 8" )

which will put the rim, let alone the tyre at the outside edge of the arch

my disco's got the oem rubber wheel arch extensions, which i'd rather keep then replacing for the devon ones

my question is this, whats the best offset for my requirments

You should be able to use standard Land Rover fit 7Jx15 wheels with 31x10.5x15's on a Disco, these will stay inside the arches.  :?

What size wheels have you ordered, or have you cancelled it cos they're too wide?

i origiannly ordered 15x8

these have an offset of -19mm, which put the rim right on the outside edge of the wheel arch, let a lone any tyres

ive, since sent them back and have ordered 15x7, which have an off set of -9mm, which will be just right for a 31/10.5/15 tyre, hopefully

my original plan was to fot the 32" tyres ive got on my pajero, but that would mean cutting and extending arches and re-gearing, which frankly i'm not fussed for doing

choices, choices, does my 'ead in
