After a couple of weeks residence on our drive while Big Blue was in the garage, Piglet has finally begun his journey home.  It doesn't look the same out there now, I have to admit.  The two Discos on the drive did look quite impressive.

Anyway, just a quick note to say a big, public 'Thank You' to Neil for letting me use Piggy for that time, it was most appreciated, even if you did have to come round to fix his bearings after only a few days

Hope the MOT goes well tomorrow.

Simon,

What was the problem with Big Blue in the end - did it involve major surgery, or just a minor op ?

Oil pump bolt came loose which resulting in the drive sprocket coming of, and no oil to the engine.  Just a new turbo unit in the end.  I think that I was very lucky that there was nothing more to be done.  If the fact that the engine was okay had anything to do with the friction reducing oil additive I put in back in February, then it was money well spent IMHO.

Don't worry, false alarm.  BB has died and Piggy is back on the drive  :(contented):

I must admit that I made Simon start Piglet up while I was there, just so I could listen to the engine ......

But without me, there wouldn't have been a picture of Piglet.

Then again, without Charity snapping her cam belt, there wouldn't have been a picture of me driving Piglet either!
