Grand Cherokee On LPG?
« on: June 16, 2005, 09:34:59 »
I also own a 4.7 Grand Cherokee '99

Has anyone ever converted theirs to LPG before? If so if the performance ok?
Im thinking it will save me a bomb if all goes well as Im doing around 15k a year in it and I cant afford to keep spending so much on petrol!

Ive had a quote from Greenfuel but dont know if they as good as they say they are. Does anyone know of them?

Please help!!

I've got a 3.5 V8 Injection Discovery Running on LPG.
You dont really notice any diference. Maybe a touch slower on pick up but, hardly noticable.
Go for it but do your research first. Talk to the garage, have a look around there place. If you dont like the look of them dont go there. I picked a bad one. Cost me £1500 for the conversion. i had to change a few parts later. i also did'nt like the the new 25ltr fuel tank they stuck under the rear of the car. It hangs so low.
You'll save a fortune in running costs.
My disco does 18mpg. Running on gas is the same mpg but half price fuel. So, its like running 36mpg. That sold it for me!!
V8 power, Mondeo running cost!!

Having had a Exployer, Disco, Dodge Ram, LR 130 3.5 and 4.2 V8, and now a Range Rover on gas, one of the best in the business is Gordon Finley, what he doesnt know about gas conversions, hasnt been invented yet.
From Fiestas to V10 Viper engined campers, hes done it all, including sticking dirty great V8s into various cars.
Hes in Devon, but gets people from all over the country, dropping cars of to him to sort.
