Long story short

We were offered a house by the in-laws. It was worth about £325,000. The plan was to rent it for a year (whilst credit scores were repaired) and then to buy it.
Cause this fantastic house i decided that, as a gesture, i would sell 1 of my cars (to prove to them we could afford it all).
Since then, they have decided to sell the property!
So, funnily enough, i'm not selling my motor any more and its development continues.
Since though, good news. SWMBO's old fella has found a property that needs a little work and can buy it for silly money. We are going to buy the house, live in it, do the work and sell it. At last we'll be on the property ladder!. Also we could make, somewhere in the region of £65,000 (in a year).
Then we can move anywhere we like (poss MK)
Till then though, gonna be living in a building site...great!.

(I thought i'd better explain why Big Blue is still here)

A piece of good luck then, sounds like you were readu for one.  Anyone noticed how the property ladder is missing a few rungs near the bottom thses days? If I hadn't bought when I did I'd not be able to afford it now, even between us we couldn't afford to buy this place.
