We were on our way back from LQ to home (Malton) when the storm started. It was freaky how quickly the weather turned. One minute we were sweating in the heat, the next it got so dark that headlights were needed and we were treated to a superb aerial light show. Then the rain started. We managed to get home before the worst of it, but driving conditions were still terrible, and we saw a five car shunt. It wasn't just a little shunt, I reckon all five cars were write offs.
Nope, on the A64 between Malton and Rillington
Old Bill had only just turned up when we got there. He looked well impressed at having to get out of his nice warm meat wagon into the rain.
