Is it just me or do the crowd seem like hard work???
Roll on later
PINK FLOYD with Roger waters back in the frame!!
wow
Cant wait...
=P~

Wasn't too impressed by Ricky Gervais - I think the joke backfired a little
So far there's been nothing "anthemic" like last time - I'm thinking Radio Gaga, Drive, etc.

The crown are a bit static :?
Indeed roll on PInk Floyd and The Who. :D
Just listening to the Green Day set from Berlin (on local radio) :D brings back memories form a couple of weeks ago :D
-
Snoop seemed to wake them up a bit !
Destiny's Child... oh dear !
-
Personally, I'm waiting for the US one to start. Original Motley Crue line up on stage
Happy days!!
-
Yeah, I think there is just to many acts, none of them get to do a proper set so it's difficult to get the crowd going. No booze there either, think that may be a factor....
-
Just in case anyone doesn't understand what it is all about, take a look at the website :
http://www.live8live.com/
They make the point that this is *not* "Live Aid 2", they want our support.. not our money
-
Finally the Who are on a bit of rock.
Mr Williams did well but it's not a patch on Live Aid, acts today apart from a small few are just not big enough to hold there own on a vast staged event like this.
The memories of Queen at Live Aid will never be matched, along with Guns and Roses, both were excellent.
Oh and I'll turn over when Mr Mc Cartney comes on.

i personally think joss stone fell flat a bit, the crowd looked bored
robbie did a good job, i missed pink floyd but the who are getting the crowd going
peter kay tried his best, but i think hes a bit trolleyed!
-
No you aint Dyf there on now he he he :P
-
all i can say is wow!
if they aint been together in over 20yrs then how come division bell exists?
or is it over 20yrs since original lineup?
-
Big bust up with Roger Waters (the old Richard Gere lookalikey) lots of arguments over copyrights and stuff.
They've only just recently made up and got back together as the original line-up (apart from Syd for obvious reasons)
Comfortably Numb still gives me goosebumps - fantastic! :D
-
not a note out
i knew who dave gilmour is from various guitar mags but i never knew what roger waters looked like.
-
Nothing comes close to Queen at Live Aid 8) 8)
Pink Floyd were superb, particularly Wish you were here.
My best bits:
Coldplay
Keane
The Killers
BUT......
The Crue came out and rocked 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Well I must say after watching it from 2 untill the end, that was fantastic!!! I'm not one to compare to Live Aid (as i wasn't even born! ) but that was really a good days tele!
Good points:
Mr Williams himself
Razorlight did a decent job
The Who were amazing!
U2 and macartney at the start!
Let downs:
Joss Stone went a bit wayward
Peter Kay over did it a smidge
Unfortionatly, as much as i did enjoy the Pink Floyd set, it wasn't really the right time, it just appeared to kill the crowd!
Then there was Velvet Revolver, were there any points Slash didnt have a fag on the go?
All in all, a bloody good days tele and something I won't forget for a little while!
-
Floyd and who were awesome. It was good to see these so called good bands in the audience, watching how it should be done
-
Long, long day!!
The Who were amazing!. You forget how good they are!!
Floyd. Started a bit dodgy i thought. I've seen them live twice without Roger Waters and they were brilliant but the band was massive. This gig was just them and it showed them in there true light. back to basics. By the time we got to Wish You Were Here i was hooked again and Comfortably Numb.....Perfect in every way. Must watch the Wall again!
Paul McCartney rocked Helter Skelter! Nice.
Shame some of the others did'nt get long enough to shine!
Coldplay were good but they did'nt rock it like they did at Glastonbury.
RazorLite did well. Killers, 1 song. Why? They are brilliant live!.
Robbie did a good job. In my opinion, he was the Freddie Mercury of this show!.
Still cant believe i sat on my couch for 11 hours and did nothing all day!
Oh well.
Cracking day. Well done Sir Bob for pulling it off (again)
:D
-
U2 brilliant when they got rid of the old guy...
Who very good
suprised Madonna did such a good job of getting the crowd going
Pink Floyd were awesome - amazing to see them back together and appearing to be enjoying it
