Title: Recommendations of Landy fixers please-sick Disco needs help
Post by: beattiedh on July 03, 2005, 16:57:52
Hi

I have to now admit defeat and book the old girl into somewhere to have a tune up, some bits fitted and some problems sorted.etc Lack of time and knowledge has got to me.

Can anyone recommend a good independent Land Rover Specialist with Disco knowledge in particular in or around Berkshire, North hampshire or south oxfordshire. I am located in Reading. Moving house next weeknd to newbury, handy for sortout!!,  and would like to get her in before I go.

Good work and advice I am very happy to pay for but I don't want to be ripped off.

thanks in advance

Duncan

I recomend Challenger 4x4 in Farnborough.
Only 25 mins from Reading.
Very good service and not affraid of modified vehicles (they drive tricked up 90's themselves)

James French in Standlake, near Oxford - they sorted my P38a out first time when it had been to several main dealers & independents and had a lot of money spent on it to no avail.

I drive it up there each time I want a service, despite having several local independents which are much closer, because I know they'll do a good job.

Speak to Steve, the head mechanic there, and he will probably diagnose the fault exactly by phone :)
