sorry for another wheel question but, will 16" modulars meant for a series3 fit straight onto a series 1 Discovery, is the offset the same?

they are interchangable but the offset on the modulars might be a bit more

more offset gives a wider stance & it will also give you better steering lock if you adjust the lockstops aswell(screw them in)

will that mean that they will catch the bodywork more though? or does it mean i'd have to cut more of it away?

depends on what size o tyres your gonna fit on them,wouldnt have thought they wouldve caught on the body work,other mechanic at work had modulars  on his & never caught although cant remember what size o tyres he had

the tyres are 235/85 r16 colway MT's

On a 5 door they'll more than likely catch on the inside of the door shut although I think the guy we saw today may have already covered that  :wink:
With the offset wheels I had the inside of the tyre also caught on the front bumper.
Good lock though.

modulars come in a variety of offsets so i think it will be suck it and see!
