sorry for another wheel question but, will 16" modulars meant for a series3 fit straight onto a series 1 Discovery, is the offset the same?
thanks for your help, Neil....
-
they are interchangable but the offset on the modulars might be a bit more
-
what problems/advanages would that cause please?
-
more offset gives a wider stance & it will also give you better steering lock if you adjust the lockstops aswell(screw them in)
-
will that mean that they will catch the bodywork more though? or does it mean i'd have to cut more of it away?
-
depends on what size o tyres your gonna fit on them, wouldnt have thought they wouldve caught on the body work, other mechanic at work had modulars on his & never caught although cant remember what size o tyres he had
-
the tyres are 235/85 r16 colway MT's
-
in that case they will prob catch ur bodywork
-
On a 5 door they'll more than likely catch on the inside of the door shut although I think the guy we saw today may have already covered that
With the offset wheels I had the inside of the tyre also caught on the front bumper.
Good lock though.
