I bid this morning on a spare battery pack for my camera, thought oh, this company has 6 identical ones on in the nex 24 hours, only about one hour left and no bids, came back and some muppit decided that they had to outbid me, even though there was another 2 or 3 with no bids on them at all today as well
Lets see what happens in 3 hours when the next one runs out :?
-
That muppet probably works with/ knows the vendor and thats how they bump up the price.

Use auction sniper or similar. It is less likely to attract late bidders.
-
The thing is there are half a dozen of these items which are not being bidded on, I was even offered a second chance grab at the same price of the opening bid
Some people obviously like wasting their money, doesn't take much to search for a battery unit, and lo and behold the same unit 6 times, the only ones that came up for the camera model and all from the same vendor
anyway, got it on the next one.

You've always got to set your upper price and stick with it.
If someone want's to outbid your top price then that's up to them.
I've always stuck with this rule, sometimes I get it for the price I'm willing to pay, sometimes I go without, such is life!!
I think I bid on 6 auctions for a pair of waffles before the seller sent me a second chance offer on my top price. Happy days!! :D
