So if you won the lottery, what would you buy?
I'm not talking about rushing out and getting the latests and greatest vehicle, I'm asking about the small things in life that you just can't get for love nor money but would make life so much better - for example:
1) A titanium high-lift jack. Steel ones are just so damn heavy
2) A trolley jack that you could lock so it would be safe to work under the car when it's holding it up. No more messing around with axle stands!
3) Quick release spring compressors - flick a lever and all three automatically release in a nice controlled fashion, no more messing around under the wings only being able to turn the screw on one a quarter turn at a time!
I'm sure we can think up some more...

A full-time mechanic... that'd make all those little jobs easier ;-)

1. Purchase local LR specialist garage - anything I want fixed instantly plus a healthy profit.
2. Purchase Chinook helicopter for easy recovery without nasty hi-lifts, ropes and the like.
3. Buy so many Land Rovers that no matter how hard I tried, at least one would always be working at any given time.
4. Whilst floating on my Sunseeker 105 just off the Cap D'Antibes surrounded by beautiful but pleasingly shallow young ladies, I would wonder why I used to like getting cold and muddy and then skinning my knuckles the day after!
-
re point 4. That's the first sensible thing i've ever read on any 4x4 forum. Well done chap.
-
A top of the range freelander
oh and i suppose some go 2 far suspension kit for Stanton Boy
-
If I won the lottery I would have to buy my dream Defender but probably one of each other LR as well just for a bit of choice. Oh and someone to clean them all for me. As well as i life supply of chocolate to keep me going through the difficult process of choosing which vehicle to drive each day
-
I'm thinking a pepperoni pizza from dominos, possibly a bottle of coke too...
you know, I think my aspirations might have been hammered down a little...
-
well in the drive there would be :
Rs 200 evo2
Metro 6R4 works spec
bowler 88 with 4.6 & all the proper bits
110 hard top service barge with bmw 6 cylinder lump up front
complete facom tool set with matching top box & roll cab
Oh & i would have a small cottage with a huge workshop with its own self contained milling & machining room, also would need a 4 post ramp,
& before i forget a forklift to use for washing the above vehicles

I cant understand all the people that say a lottery win wouldnt change their life :? Why do they play it then. It would certainly change mine - retiring from work and not paying a mortgage would be top priority  . Country Mansion with loads of land and a BIG workshop.
I'd also buy out my boss and pay him peanuts to run the place :P

This Jacobean house (http://www.dacres.co.uk/res_kildwick.html) would suit me fine.
Or I'd just as happy with this;
TheWhite House (http://community.webshots.com/photo/96752807/96877784qjDxRf)
Failig those 2, a nice big Victorian Vicarage :D

I'm sure there is some sort of inverse sods law works on this, and the more landies you have at any one time the less likely it is that any of them will work at a given time...

An X5, I don't like them but I'd like to take one to a decent P&P site, get it stuck lots and then take out an ad campaign with billboard adverts over the country showing a split image, X5 stuck and LR getting through and a caption underneath.........'spot the fake 4x4'
-
I wouldn't say that winning lottery would change my life.
But my Press Agent certainly would!
cheers

buy a top of the range rangerover-and then go greenlaning and offroading  then go back to the dealer and say" dont want that one"
-
Rather than buy something I would invest mine in some fancy research lab, and give them the goal of finding a non stick, non scratch substance that Land Rovers can be coated in to give them the 'just out of the showroom' shine forever.
I may not be lying in the sun sipping champagne, but at least I wont be cleaning and polishing anymore.
(I say pretending I ever get round to polishing! )

My own garage.
Fixing, restoring, servicing and modifieing Land Rovers.
Nice.
