Title: sad things in life
Post by: rokcrawlin on July 13, 2005, 23:40:53
2 days ago had a pillock come charging up to the back of the motor flashing me to get out of his way as I was overtaking 2 trucks so carried on overtaking the second one, now what does the little pimp do, he turns on a set of undergrill blues so thinking he was a copper in a hurry I dutifully move over thinking he should have used the blues and the twos on the approach,as I thought this an arm comes out of the citroen saxo in a finger salute, and I take off after them and got the registration and just to press the point ran them up to a speed camera, whilst being slightly interested in what was behind them they forgot it was a forty mile an hour limit whilst doing around 70 needless to say the photo should do justice as they were reported for impersonating a policeman within minutes of having gone through the camera , you might think this is a bit ott but with the amount of car jackings and potential rapes of vunerable women these ar#es need stopping before they try to actually stop someone

Dare I ask for more details of the Citroen?

Or would that be breaking some sort of forum 'rules'?

Is there any chance that the lights would have been visible to the camera, or possibly the finger still out?

Lets hope they throw a whole shelf full of books at them.

My wife works for the probation service and it would unfortunatley seem that a lot of the people she deals with either are currently driving whilst banned (hence no insurance) or have been in the past. It is quite scary to think of how many people are out there un-licenced or un-insured, so I just have to wonder what little effect a speeding ticket and/or a ban will have on your little citroen driving friend.

I'm no fan of speed cameras myself (ok I admit it got caught on one doing 39 in a 30) but if the police cant be present in cases like this at least the ******** going to get pulled up on something.

Mustn`t condone irresponsible driving I know, but I went through the "boy racer" bit and a fair percentage of the posts on here are complaining about the publics perception of another group of so called irresponsible drivers, us.  So fair enough singling out the odd idiot but lets not generalise eh.

my point is the way he used the blue lights to get me out of the way it may have impressed his mates but we have a lot of car theft and rapes that are not solved round this area and if this cretin was to pull up some lone woman as a joke it might grow into something more,  I dont have an issue with the speed I find 205.7 mph on my bike enjoyable in the right place, and given the chance would have the speed limit changed to the continental type of limit 110kph in rain 120-130 in good weather

Thanks rockcrawlin, I agree with some of the other posts, I used to be a boy racer too, I'm sure we all speed, but you are right, little "insert expletive" in there modified motors (it's not only us who are supposed to tell our insurers about modifications!) when using blue lights are a danger and need removing.

I was asking for details as I used to live in Cambridge and know a couple of lads who are still in the Peterborough force, I'll give them a call.

Is there 'nick' still in the middle of that roundabout?

Tim.

They found a car in Sheffield that had been reported using blue lights on the front.  It was on 'police stop death kill 2' a while back.  It's very illegal and the Police don't take kindly to it.  in that instance the car was towed away!

Here's hoping.....

P.S. when yo say spoiler, don't you mean pram handle, for when it breaks down.

Surprised they let these blue led washer jets go, as fas as I know any blue lights on vehicles are illegal (unless an authorised emergency vehicle)
