Post by: colintandy on July 21, 2005, 14:01:21

i have a 200tdi disco automatic and today the oil transmission light came on out of the blue as i was in slow traffic at time and had just taken a left turn previouse to that a normal gentle drive (had wife in car)50-60mph
when got home i checked the oil in gearbox seems plenty and was only changed a few weeks ago and is not hot either i was expecting it hot but its defently normal temp  have no leaks and all seems to run just fine any clues  coud it be the transfer box overheating it felt hot when i looked but id only just stoped her but was hot any body know where to start looking could it be electrical where would the temp light goto on boxes i dont belive i have lost any fluids gonna double check when cooled down but cant see none on floor
