Title: Such a friendly world really......
Post by: V8MoneyPit on July 25, 2005, 18:56:13
On my way to the MG Car Club weekend at Silverstone on Friday evening in my LR 110 when a tricked up Suzuki flashed coming from the other direction. I was a bit too late to flash back, wasn't really expecting it! Then on my way home on Sunday evening there it was going back the other way! So I flashed...... didn't flash back...... probably thought there's that LR owner who couldn't be bothered on Friday!! Honestly, it was just too late

So, if you were that Zuke owner, I apologise and won't miss you next time

Then there was the 90 going into Silverstone on Sunday late morning. Blue truck cab with external cage. I was just on my way out. Much flashing of lights and waving ensued.... don't think either of us expected to see kitted out LR's at an MG event!

My wife doesn't understand all this flashing of lights and waving lark. But I am of the firm opinion that it makes the world a better place. Don't you agree?

Used to wave / be waved at all the time when we had the MG Midget :D

I don't think I've been waved at once in the Discovery :(

I do indeed.
On the island we get waved at and flashed (don't even think about!  [-X   ) all the time when we're driving around in Stickers. We get Landys, other 4x4's, buses, cars etc, all islanders who have seen Stickers around the island and just wave cos it's the thing that's done up here.

When someone new waves we wave back and both look at each other and say " not a clue who that was".

gords i think there is a certain amount of snobery attached to the disco,so its unlikely that you will get a wave there drivers will have thier noses so high up that it will block thier view, poor souls dont know its the poor mans strange-rover,on the other hand drive a Zuk andthe world loves you friendly lot  though 4x4 drivers that actually use them for what god intended, from today i am going to flash-wave every muddie disco i see will let you know results

I get waved all the time by fellow nutters!
I think its because of Big Blue
People have a different opinion of disco's when they see snokels, big bumpers and mud terrains
When i'm in the green disco i'm invisible
