cleaned out the Cherokee and Jimny at the weekend ,packing things back in got me thinking just what does everyone else carry,my list .. recovery kit tow rope strops small spade compessor air wrench 10 ltre fuel 5 ltre water blanket first aid kit hydraulic jack screw jack 2x blocks of wood fire ext lots of bungies and zip ties wd 40 tool kit -springer spaniel name spanner spinger spaniel name zuk wow.---wellies maps phone loads of munchies and hot -cold drinks.

Not that much as an everyday occurance.
2 straps (15' & 30')
Relevant bunch of shackles & hook
Heavy-duty[/b] jump-leads (15' & made out of 400+ amp welding-cables)
Wheel-chocks
Breaker-bar & selection of usual sockets for various car wheel-nuts (good samaritan that I am)
2 Hi-Viz vests* (one is a sleeved waistcoat for me)
1 Hi-Viz coat
2 Rechargeable (55watt) torches
2 Warning triangles
If I know I'm going anywhere near water, or after heavy rain, a ford, I stick my Waders in.
* I would say that these (or at least one) are a must-have item.
They might save your life on a dark, rainy, night.

Umm, I tend to keep all the offroad related stuff in the boot ... best place for it :wink:
A couple of straps (2m & 10m), a rope (5m), a number of shackles, socket set and collection of spanners/screwdrivers/etc, first aid kit, fire extinquisher, cb, 2 x pmr radio, boots, torch.
I always have my mobile too :)
