HELP!!!
I need to post a diff BUT have no way of weighing? Can anyone let me know roughly what a diff weighs?
Cheers
-
I can just lift one onto the axle from underneath off the floor, but putting a figure on it is not so easy, is it for postage purposes?
-
Yeah its for postage.
Wonderful world of eblag....
Got a diff that I'm selling and someone will bid its posted but Ive no way of weighing it so see if I can post it.
-
I reckon you have to allow a good 40 - 50kg, so you are looking at a courier of some sort.
-
Cant be 50kg for a single diff, I'm only 75kg!
I was thinking around 20 to 25kg?!? Need some bathroom scales!!
Think the dam thing will be too heavy to post or just simply too expensive.
Anyone any ideas???

I would put collection only, no postage, would be very costly to send, I would expect the Royal mail wouldn't take as to heavy.
As Tim has said a courier would have to be used.
-
I have listed it as collection only but people still ask!!
Sod it, with 10 watchers someone will buy it!
Thanks all!!
-
Just tell them that you will be happy to package it up for them so they can arrange for a courier to collect.
-
Good idea Tim, nice one.
Sorry to hear your leaving the MC
Thanks for all your hard work though, its been greatly appreciated!
-
I imagine with the weight it wont be touched by the Royal snail, might well have to be a freight service
Let them sort it, tell them 50 kg with packing
-
I sent a bull bar through royal mail a little whie ago!!
Kate hated me for it though, she had to carry it to the post office

-
I just had a horrible experience with a viscous fan I sold on the same garbage disposal site........sorry....may be of use to someone else before I bin it forum.....
Cost me more to post it than I received for the fan and the postage !!!
To celebrate, I advertised two door tops....COLLECTION ONLY....
A last tip....do not search on Google for differential weights unless you have a noose !!
-
25kg springs to mind
-
It's a diff Andy, not springs.........

Going by the last pic he posted, about 15stone
