If it's a disco the rears (top) have a "loop" whereas the fronts have two threads top and bottom.

Ah right lightweight....
I was looking around Kev's the other day and I'd say they were the same but someone had pinched the front ones :)
It's a long story :)

Hiya mate, Like Ed said, I always thought they were the same, the springs are a different matter :?

If you bought them as a set and they are the same part number logically i'd say it dont matter

Probably no help......Is there no number stamped in the metal (there is on the ones I just bought) - if there is and all have the same number, doesn't matter what goes where. Didn't realise lwts were different - fronts on Series ones are shorter.

Yay i've got it sorted, well allmost
Part number starting 318 are the front shock's, they allso both share the same code (C024Y1)  sorted.
Part number starting 321 are the rear shock's, but they have different code's (C205X1 and C063X2) so im guessing one is the O/S and the other is the N/S.
Now if i can sus that out im laughing  :D
