i am going to replace the air filter on my 200tdi, so what's best, fitting a standard one or does fitting something like a k&n make any difference??
i would appreciate your views, thanks Neil....
Also where's best to get one from??
-
hi mate fit a k@n yes it makes a good difference but i advize removing the emmisons pipe or itl chuck oil all over it
-
Got an ITG in mine (300TDi) makes aload of difference.... and I got mine free :)
when I got my new intercooler!
-
can't justify buying an intercooler to get a free air filter Phil, joanne will never go for it
where can you get the ITG filter from seperately..
Have you put your pics from saturday in your gallery, i need a new avatar now?
-
perhaps you're looking at it the wrong way round, what you're actually doing is buying a really good air filter and getting a free intercooler upgrade with it
-
might be worth a try when i've got some extra cash :)
-
just do the fuel pump tweak first - you ll get some extra performance ( and maybe a little smoke) without spending out on an intercooler.
then tweak it more when u get an intercooler.

I went for the K&N filter
Very happy with it. Performance up a bit too.
only £32 from Paddocks.
:D

thanks for that guys, i might wait 'til i go malvern and have a look what's available!! :)

I put a K&N filter in and didnt notice much if any difference at all.
spose if u run without a filter thats about as good as it ever gonna get with a filter mod over standard.
