Is the hardtop the same on a newish defender 90 as it is on a '85 90??

The newer one will be made from tinfoil as opposed to the metal they used on the earlier ones.

The old one will likely have the strengthening ribs on the outside
The old one will likely be white / cream

The new one might have a sunroof.. this will leak :-)

Thanks Tim, the main thing is though it will fit in place of the truck cab?? I think an older roof could be purchased anyway at a later date

oh and it doesnt have a sunroof, but will still probably leak somewhere :)

Yep.. should be a straightforward swap.. mine used to be a truck-cab.

You just need to sort a rear door or upper tailgate

As soon as I can find a roof to replace this one.. I'll be removing it :-)

What do you currently have... might be up for a part-ex / swap ;-)

I have a full tilt canvas which i use in the summer so i need to keep it. Just thought i'd bung on a truckcab to keep me warmer through the cold months :-) Let me know if you ever want to sell the truckcab.

I've got a 90 county hard top which I don't need any more - no landy for me to put it on...

It's a smooth roof, alpine windows, sunroof, (arles) blue sides, and I've got a back door for it as well. There's also various bits of electric cable and a rear window wiper motor. I think there's also a front section headlining (needs a bit of fettling to work with the hard top) and a door card for the rear door.

I've also got a pair of Genuine LR TD5 side windows for the h/t sides.
