Title: V8 Vac advance
Post by: muddysteve on August 21, 2005, 16:44:03
I've got what looks like a non return valve in the vac advance pipe on my disco, any idea what its for?

Its been running a bit flat of late and lacking in power and dieseling when i turn it off so i thought i'd give the vac pipes a once over.

when i remove the non return valve its goes like poo off a stick! so do i need it or does it do anyhting important

Probably allows vacuum to travel slowly in one direction, rather than a non return valve.  It'll be for emisions or something.  Just be careful in case it 'pinks'.

will do mate, but it does seem to be sounding very healthy at the moment

untill i hit 60 then i'm getting some bad rumbling noises and vibrations, me thinks a prop uj is well on its way
