Just bought a set of Macho tyres for my spare rims - getting ready for winter off road, local garage cant balance them they reckon each wheel needs around 500 grms , what now ! anyone come up against this before ? :(thinkhard):
-
I have the Technic Amazons which are the same tread pattern. Fellow MC member and supermechanic/tyre fitter Neil Thorne spent ages trying to get mine to balance. :?
We gave up in the end  Might have another go when time allows.
-
I've just had my All Terrains balanced today, and even they need quite a bit of weight to get right - something around 100g I think, which for a small tyre seems quite a bit.
-
Are you driving on them unbalanced?must be shakin ya to pieces , can-ya digit?

Yea just done the lift plus castor correction bushes , steering damper, i have bought but not fitted safari- snorkel , some rock sliders, assorted bash-plates , 2 cobra buckets , harnesses, rear disc conversion and winch bumper on the way, 1350 sobs worth , now workin the overtime to pay for it all :!:

Remoulds can vary hugely and often need quite alot of weight. There maybe no way to solve this other than swap the tyres or stick on the weight!
I don't always balance the tyres on the racer to save cost, but with such luggy tyres anyway (in this case Diamonds!) I don't think it makes that much difference.

There is something I saw before, its like beads that go in the tyre case and when you get up to speed they automatically balance the wheels
Had a link somewhere, but my laptop died the other night, along with my links
