Try using the iSwipe client (http://www.hillmanminx.net/iswipe/) which runs with BT and various other p2p networks.  iSwipe will take care of all the messy stuff.

On a PC all you do with BT is install it. It does everything else . there is no program to run. Might be different on an easy to use Mac of course.
Find the torrent you want to download then click on it. BT loads up and downloads it.

To find the torrent, direct your browser to www.bi-torrent.com or similar. There is a lot of illigal pirate type stuff on there so be careful of what you download. :D

on a pc you could use ABC torrent manager which is good cos you dont need to install anything into your browser (like what you would need to do without having a download mgr)

google for abc torrent and nab it

quite good actually cos you can control the upload rate from your pc etc. and kerio personal firewall doesnt complain each time you find a new torrent!
