Title: winch fitting

hiya you lot got the winch and bumper today put it all together and its heavy im going to need 4 men to fit it on has anyone had this prob b4 or is it me being thick

then fit the winch

is that a bearmach bumper you have there


they are heavy

got it from mm4x4 its a nice one just heavy .so i got to take it all to bits agane  ohhh pooo :roll:

and just had a look at your pics how did you get your spare tyre on the back of yours as i just got some 235/85/16 and it wont go on the back of mine going to have to put it on the roof

Strange ... I've got a 235/85 x 16 on my door!? The tyre is very worn, but then, the bumper is also bent upwards and there's still 1/2" clearance :-k

if you look again ive got a steel back bumber too

misses by about 1 cm

you can get raised carriers too

Devon 4x4 make the D44 raised wheel carrier, nice and strong and give enough clearance for anything upto 35" tyre.

Or, you can have a look here (http://www.expeditionexchange.com/disco1spare255/) at what they have done to the standard carrier to raise it.  :wink:

and do you have to cut the corners of the winch bumper to fit it as i think this might just tuch the frunt tyres ???? :roll:

ill have to look in to that how much are thay ?
the bumper is now on the car me and me dad did it on are own with the winch on the bumper that was so heavy looks really good just got to find a new place to put the number plat i think im going to putit on the roof rack

ill get one in a bit it sticks out a lot but looks good cant wate to run over my first car i think its going to be that alin car (ford ka) thing

From the side view i'd say that your tyres will be ok.
My arch cuts line up with the line of your bumper.
(see below picture)
Test it and find out!!

Bumper's looking good, I don't think you'll have to trim the ends of the bumper, I only took about an inch off mine and that was for 33" tyres and wheelarch flares!!  :wink:
With the number plate, I drilled a couple of holes and put it here:

yep thats a bearmach bumper


same as mine

i had to cut 2 inches off mine

maybe soon a little more

the approach angle on these bumpers are better that you would think by looking at it

Looks nice same set up as mine , but watch the winch box if is a T Max they dont like water or being used when wet i have moved mine up under the monet out of the water
