Title: JEEP-Fest
Post by: Bush Tucker Man on August 27, 2005, 21:49:38: When I was on my way to the Yorkshire Dales this morning & reached the south-eastern end of Bradford there were a fair few signs up for the said event at Tong.

Quite a few JEEPs around when I came back through about 11:15/11:20 & plenty heading west on the M62 heading towards jct 27

I've been before to a JEEP-Fest, just after the 'Rubi' was built.
It's only about 15minutes from me,& I used to race Mountain Bikes there, so I know David (the land owner)

I've taken the 90 & 110 around, but not the Discovery, as open-days are limited now, or I find out about them afterwards] (or I'm working)

Yes, i put a post on a while ago about it ( http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=13297&highlight=tong ). I was gono go as it is right where i live but have since found summat cheaper and more fun to do ( http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=13472&highlight= ) :)

Post by: Legionnaire on November 23, 2005, 14:26:45: I went to Jeep fest this year and was very dissapointed with it to the point of probably wont go again.

I think the Ã‚Â£50 is far too expensive, you could go to the Dales for example greenlaning and stay in a B&B. I used to be in the Tong offroad club last year and I seem to remember that was Ã‚Â£35.00 for the day. I will not be paying the Ã‚Â£50 even though Tong is an excellent offroad site.

Post by: andyrobinson32 on January 11, 2006, 17:35:56: STINKNG NORA........i have done tong a few times with Club Off Road, there aint no way on this gods green earth i would pay Ã‚Â£50 to go and play in the mud, im sorry but i know insurance is going up and all that, but that is an absoloute joke and disgrace...............thats a couple of 1/2 shafts or a diff, or even a third of a brand new tyre............thats more than Ã‚Â£5 per hour to play and brake things.............................OUCH.....

think i have done very well there not to swear...............
