Yep, Guy sent me a text from the side of the road :( Got recovered back home and then jumped in the Honda and STILL made it down to Malvern before sunset  :D
He seems in reasonable spirits considering

Jeez!
That's bad,
Do we know what the extent of the damage is?

Should imagine he isn't a happy bunny after that
At least he made the show :D

he texted me from the M42 too, I just happened to be travelling up the m5 from Bristol toward home so I said that i would give him a beep on the horn as i went past on the opposite carriageway! (I did also offer help but he said that the RAC were on their way)
I then saw him on the back of the recovery truck on the A14.
He has some luck dont he hey?

If there's anything any of us can do make sure he just asks (you reading this Guy?)
Most of us have a collection of bits kicking about, failing that we can all provide a shoulder to cry on.
-
he has just bought a 2" lift kit as well , so at the same time he will need that fitting!
-
looks like i will have my work cut out then lol he didnt tell me about the lift kit
-
well for what its worth if its the cam thats snapped a TD one goes straight in but requires the head to be pulled off,if its just a belt it will either need 8 pushrods or 8 rockers or some of each, might need less if hes lucky if he needs any more info on what he will need just ask
-
I'm sure I saw him walking out towards the gate / off road course this afternoon at the show and shouted after him but then I got sidetracked when I caught sight of David French taking the 6 wheeler 101 round the obstacle course

Well Guy sorry to hear of your bad Luck, just like to say at least the Bearings are good- possibly the most sound thing at mo
Only Joking mate sorry to hear that happened Digsit was round ours Sun pm and Mon pm doing some running repairs and told us of your misfortune, Stanton Boy reckons should only have done push rods etc, he repaired to tdi before putting in series 111 and had same faults but had punched hole in casing, let us know and will be willing to help out where can.
See you soon

 uh oh, not again! The cambelt snapped at roughly 125,000 miles (about two years ago) when I owned it, but I put it down to over exuberance in the mud as it had only done 25,000 since the cambelt was changed. What's the mileage on it now Guy? I got away with a fistful of bent pushrods - hope it's nothing worse. :? I'm wondering if the mysterious water that came out the wading plug hole is anything to do with premature wear...

the 110 is now at pytchley garage having a bit of fettling in the cam belt department and should be back on the road shortly
