Title: Land Rover Spiders
Post by: thermidorthelobster on September 02, 2005, 08:32:56
My factory-fit Land Rover spider seems to have gone awol.

Do you think there is a market in selling Genuine Parts Land Rover Spiders on eBay, for people who have lost theirs?

I'm in the process of recruiting another off the passion flower by the front door.

I have a couple of spares as it seems the factory fit on the S-Spec had the reproduction module installed.

I could post a couple up to you if you like.

Not a problem as I run a Land Rover Spider breeding farm I have over 200 pure bred spiders, I do find that they prefere the series vehicle enviroment and seem to breed at a fair rate!

Mine just breed themselves! without supervision! Trouble is! when they grow up! They won't leave home! Bit like our offspring these days! :?  8)

If 300 series 110 ones are compatible with Disco ones (I think the webs require different splines) you can have one of mine.

I've got a 101 type living in the back too (it's like the ordinary 'LRS 1' type but it's bigger with welded balls), if anyone after one of those.

HTH
cheers

Well, you can of course get an uprated spider from a well known (but nameless) supplier...

sadly the legs keep falling off :(

'Fraid not, usually they're just a standard LRS 1 wearing Michelins, or somesuch. However I do beleive they up-specced the web guage for the military market.

They also feature a spare leg, but oddly enough it sticks out of it's head....

I have some motorsport spec ones if anyone is interested (uprated suspension) - best housed in the wing mirror!

I would be happy to give them a new home - need to save weight!

Why did the Spider steal the Land Rover?

So he could take it for a SPIN

As is said so often;

I have a large one in the garden shed if anyone is interested.
You will need a Sankey trailer to move it I'm afraid.

For all of those fiitng snorkels - please note that all breathers including that fitted to the spider should be extended accordingly. Remember cruelty to animals is a punishable offence under UK law and therefore failure to maintain the spiders airline will not be viewed kindly.

I looks at it as relocation, they get a free ride and location to a new home in the middle of nowhere, and more than likely I pick up some more on the way round and move them to elsewhere

(does that makes sense or am I loosing it :? )

Kind of a spider management program so the gene pool in one area gets some fresh swimmers every now and again
