PASSED
Got 34/35 for the multiple choice questions, would have been 35 if I had read the trick question carefully.
62/75 for the hazard perception.
The guy at the centre said I scored high. Before I was just worried about passing, when I passed I was just annoyed I did not get 35/35.
The annoying thing is I have passed this all before, just left it too long and it expired so I had to do it again.
Time to book the practical.

I had to do a theory test recently, as part of a County minibus test, and nearly failed! There were several road signs which I would know instantly in context, but when you see them on a sheet of A4 they seem more ambiguous! Fortunately passed but I would have felt a right berk if I'd failed.
-
I was being quizzed last night and got eveything right except for one sign. I could not for the life of me remember what a red circle with a white line through it meant. #-o
I got it in the end, but it was a bit thick of me. Strange thing is I got all the obscure ones spot on
-
Well done :P :P :P - particularly on the hazards perception, that one is a right b£$%£! Trees are apparently a hazard, not the kid running towards the road!
-
I was mostly worried about the hazard perception part. I did some trial runs and when I see a car at a side road, I keep it in mind and watch out for it pulling out, but I never remember to click the mouse :(
I think with the hazard perception, jumpy newer drivers would be better as they are more likley to click, I think a driver who has been driving for years would not remember to click.

well done dude 8) 8)

Congrat's :)

I think the journey might be a bit much after just passing, but I will see. I'll try and get some motorway experience on Thursday if I pass.

CONGRATULATIONS BARRY !!!
Hoped you would get it (had my fingers crossed all day - which made work really hard (and posting on here!).

Have I missed something, I didn't know you had put in for your propper test yet?

Ta, it helped.
I put in for the proper test when I got home :D. Just need to practise my reverse pack and reverse round a bend in the Frontera, and I am ready.

Please Don't give him negative vibes!! (http://www.websmileys.com/sm/sad/2.gif)

You have to practice an off road course - IN REVERSE
You'll be ready for anything!

Lol, I am fine off road, driving across the top of ruts barely wide enough for my vehicle to straddle, lining up the wheels with no outside assistance.
But pulling up next to a kerb on the left... :( . I just cannot work it out.

Barry What you need is to fit a wide angle mirror to your Nearside Door mirror and angle it down to see your back nearside wheel! But don't forget to check your blindspots as well! And thats a tip from a Truck Driver! Buy a pair of them they are about £5.00 and you will find them very usefull!

It is funny you should say that, cause I had been considering it, but will they let me use them for the test I wonder?
-
Congrats Barry :)

nice one
when my girlfriend was doing her tests, i tried the hazard perception CD she got. tried the test 5 times and only passed once!
i kept clicking too early, or too often :(

Nope, the Brentwood I just passed my test so stay out of my way, Frontera massacre.
-
Well done, remember when you take the practical just relax & drive within your own ability, & you will fly straight through - trust me i was a driving instructor (14yr's ago), well done agian & good luck for the next one,
john.
-
When/where are you taking your test?
I'll remember to take a holiday! Nah just kidding. I only passed my test in April this year and have already written one car off. Not that I'm trying to make a habit of it!
-
please dont anybody ever worry about smashing cars up as this keeps me in a job,
john.
-
barmiebrumie
Thank you, I will.
sulley
Brentwood on the 20th of October. With Warley hill as ground zero, I would recomend a 15 mile radius dead zone :D
-
As long as you don't venture anywhere near the A128 towards Grays, I'll be fine.
-
Well done;
I like this approach, make sure enough people know when and where your test is and you won't have other traffic to negotiate on test.
It would be intersting if those of us who have been driving for a while ahd to go and do the same test?
-
the new test is much more involved than the one i did 7 years ago
they used to take 15-20 minutes, now they are 45-50 minutes
-
Learnt to drive 30 years ago.....Now I am assessed every two years.
It doesn't get any easier
-
Every driving instructor in the Uk has to do the theory test again, to include the hazzard perception. It's b***y insulting TBH seeing as that's what we do all day! A lot of instructor complain that if you spot the hazzard too early it doesn't count! Given that that's how you do the job what is the point?
-
Range Rover Blues
I noticed this problem on a practise disc. The video was of a winding country lane. At one point you could see straight down a chicane and there it looks like someone in the road. The car comes through the chicane and it is a runner that causes you to slow down for traffic coming the other way.
I reviewed where I clicked and it scored me when I came through the chicane and clicked, but not when I clicked before the chicane.
Penalised for being too observant?

Congrats!! :D :D
Three years til i get to take mine!!!
noooooooooooooo!! i'll be too young to drive!! (and dangerous might i add! hehehehe!)
