I have a water leak on the bottom left-hand side of the passenger door of my Disco (300Tdi 1997).
The photo shows where the water is leaking in. The door seal does seem to be in good condition and I have put some silicone grease on it. Nevertheless the water still keeps coming in.
On anther point, I was looking for the drainage holes on my sunroof but couldn’t find them and the water doesn’t run away.

How about manipulating the seal round the aperture, so the split is right at the bottom?
-
Some manufacturers stuff a rubber 'sausage' inside the door seal at joints like this to keep them in line, other uses black gaffer tape.

..."water leak , what do I do?..."
just leave it and sell the car!

The split is there for a reason. Believe it or not, it is there to allow any water to leak OUT. It is best if you can have the split in the middle at the bottom. I had the same prob, and new seals sorted it. :D

Personally I reckon the split is there because it's cheaper and easier to manufacture and fit than if the seal were a continuous loop  But you're right, it does have the handy side-effect of letting water out. If it's at the bottom.

you could put some silicone sealer around the gap?

STILL LEAKING!

Yes but what have you tried so far?
