Title: Fuel pressure
Post by: muddyweb on September 13, 2005, 00:06:27
Just before I go digging about in the manuals, does anyone know what pressure the fuel rail should be at on a 3.9 / 4.0 / 4.6 V8 engine ?

In case anyone needs to know....

The 4.0 and 4.6 engines are both 2.4-2.6 bar regulated with the vacuum connected.

The 3.9 is 3.5 bar unregulated, as are most of the Lucas systems.

Off to stick a guage on it now  :-s

What's the difference between regulated and unregulated then Tim?

From what I can tell... the regulated figure is with the vacuum hose connected... unregulated is without.

So in fact a more accurate measurment then? unless you also measure manifold depression (vacuum).
