Got my evil hot rod duck off ebay. Dead chuffed :D
Apart from now expecting my insurance premiums to fall due to the new "protection" how do you get the dam thing to stay where he is?
Keeps rolling off the dash..... :?
So what did you lot do to stop them rolling around?

Zipties mate,

Why not look at the workshop artical for fitting info.

I think I'll go with the silicone option compared to the zipties. Used so many on the tdi conversion Ive run out
-
I knew that workshop artical would come in handy at some point. :D

Never even thought of looking in the workshop! Looks a big job so I may get my mates over to help and Ive printed it off for referance but I think if we are careful I think we can do it
Good old evil ducks
-
The best stuff is clear silicon..... But be carfull, if you apply to much
when you push it down in the required position the silicon will squidge
out and your duck will look like it's sitting in a duck pond.

Or velcro him.
Soft bit near his plummage though.

Great, got loads of that left around from the V8 days!
I'll get him stuck on for Abingdon

COuld swop him between trucks then....
The again I'll probably just loose him or SWMBO will "loose" him. She's never been a fan of the evil ducks

My dash is covered in velcro. Usfull for sticking GPS, PDA, phone, baccy tin, lighter and 'cool' duck anywhere I like :P

Trouble is I have enough problems clearing the mud off the inside as the outside. The velcro may make the problem worse.....
When I finish a days playing, there is as much mud on the inside as is on the outside

i poped a self taper screw head in its squek hole to hold him down

Now that I do like!!! There are several screw holes in the dash and that way when I drown it again I can let him have a swim whilst my mates laugh at me.....

6" coach bolt straight thru the duck and into the dash

Blimey you guys dont have much compassion for these ducks!!!
Next one will be:
Used a 9" nail right through its head. That'll fix it
