He is struggling a bit but I'd like to see him get a top 8 points finish with Loeb winning

Its just not the same running it in September rather than November...

I haven't really heard anything, is he in the 'works' Fabia??

It's not the same as the days it used to come up to Dalby forest & over to the Lake District

(& 'Killer' Kielder)

Digressing;
Talking about SKY, I bet you never watched that BatMan animated movie 'Return Of The Joker' that I advised you to tape (or was it the 'Mr Freeze' one?)

it used to come into our neck of the woods (no pun intended), to Clumber Park, my Dad was (and still is) some sort of 'official' in the rally and gets free tickets (or rather 'VIP guest passses' that get you just about anywhere!) but I don't have them now as Wales is too far for me.

It's a shame, it's called RALLY GB and is only in Wales - how does that work then  :?:

It's meant to be dark, it's even referred to by the drawing team as 'Dark-Deco', as evidenced in the Art-Deco overtones of the architecture of Gotham

As 'the League' series went by, it got better 'art-wise', & a lot of loose ends were tied up.
Just wait for the Wonder Woman film to come out :D  :D

JAKE

Try & catch the new series of 'The Batman' (http://worldsfinestonline.com/WF/thebatman/) on SKY-621
Mondays & Wednesday (18:30-19:00, I think?, can't remember)

It's a younger 'Bats', & drawn very differantly.

It's a 'BTM Top-Tip'

Sorry Colin
I'm hi-jacking your Colin thread

Micheal Park, co-driver for Markko Martin has died this morning in a huge crash on SS15 Margam - must be the first death in WRC for many years.

Thoughts go out to all friends, family and colleagues.

Jeez!!

That's the first I've heard, damn shame they were a good pairing.

It must have been HUGE for that to happen

According to the reports, the car slid wide on a bend and the co-driver side took the full impact of a large tree.

BTM, as you say, it must have been a massive impact as normally the cars have a few rolls, boff a few trees and still keep going.

Oh my g*d!
Our thoughts too go out to the familys and friends.
Was any spectators hurt?
they do like to get close when watching the rallys

Very sad indeed. Thoughts are with families of all connected :(
It appears fom reports that no one else was hurt.
Wonder how this will affect long term plans for Rally Wales/GB :?:

Thoughts & prayers with Micheal's family.

I recall a few interviews on the wrc & he was a really good bloke.

I know it's a dangerous sport & the best entertainment in motorsport these days (F1 is crap in comparison), and you expect the odd minor injury in a crash no matter how hard, given the roll bars/cages, improved strength, but to loose a life..........

Got back from Cheapfest to read this on ceefax

My thoughts go out to his family it must have been a hell of an impact

Total respect for Sebastian Loeb for loosing time so he wouldn't win in the aftermath of it

Managed to catch the last 20minutes at work & saw the Pegeot press conferance.

I don't think Loeb & Citroen could have done anything else but accept a time-penalty, it was simply a gesture of respect.

It was similar to a few years ago when Casartelli (Ex-Olympic rider) crashed in the Tour DeFrance & all his Motorola team-mates (inc 6times winner Lance Armstrong) crossed the line together

Lets hope for the future of motor-sport, that it's accepted as an accident & the HSE vultures aren't involved.

the last few years have been hard on rallying in gb,

first there was the navigator killed on otterburn bout 6 years ago when the mini they were in hit one of the 1/2 dozen trees on the ranges, then there was the young lad that was killed spectating in a freak incedent & last year a navigator on the border counties when the pug hit a tree & split it down the middle then this year lost a good mate at the start of the season to a heart attack in the stage, took the shine of the sport when i turned up to help the rescue unit & paramedics  & found out who it was, then michael park yesterday,

TBH theres not alot they can do to make the sport any safer  & as the sign on sheets say "motorsport IS dangerous",i feel a bandwagon approach going to happen in the near future which could kill the sport like what happened in 85 with henri toivenon,

My thoughts go out to Michael Parks family & relatives
