on sunday morning i pulled onto the M55 at Blackpool
and there was a nice new(ish) Range Rover in silver
that had just stopped a car, had to look twice to see the flashing lights
i wouldn't mind being pulled by that
-
I saw a Range Rover Classic complete with a lift, mud terrains and a snorkel, in Clapham of all places. Blue flashing light gave it away. Fun!

We all knew they are getting Crafty!! Why take on Crime when they can get easy pickings?
-
Passed a P38 on the M69 on Saturday that had pulled someone in, but that was fully marked...
How can anybody not see a Range Rover - especially in those colours?

I started to have "words" with two bright red quad bikes at LQ on Saturday, who were trespassing and generally riding like idiots (wheelies, doughnuts, etc).
One of them showed me his back. The word "Police" was on the back of his overalls. Apart from that, there were no other features. I calmed down a bit, but still told them they were being a bit irresponsible, considering that they were doing this in view of customers. Muppets!

How often do you see a plod hurtling down the outside lane with the lights flashing and the sirens wailing, with somebody stuck in front of him totally oblivious?
-
There was one muppet on 'Police, Camera, Action' or something similar who was too busy watching the police car behind her to notice the stopped traffic ahead. Fast lane on the motorway, small Metro or something - not a pretty sight afterwards.

what really wnds me up is when sitting in traffic on the motorway you get so many pratts who think that they can use the hard shoulder because they will be late, what about evey one else sitting in the traffic are they not going to be late? I keep a very close eye on my mirrors and somehow my landie has developed this (problem) every time i see some pratt coming down the hard shoulder with thier hazards on (that must make it ok) it seems to strangly drift across the white line. crickey some folk are mighty put out that i dare to slow there progerss.
Altough before now I have seen a big que of the above pratts stopped at the exit by a waiting police car

So, being a Police Officer gives you permission to do wheelies/doughnuts, etc and gernerally ride like idiots? :? Were they in pursuit of a dangerous criminal?

..time to remove the stickers and scare people then :-) <evil grin>

Perhaps they were trying to blend in hoping some other tresspassers might come along to join in with them.
Sort of undercover :?:

Before the defender, I had an Ex Police P38. That used to be fun, at the time, I worked in a transport yard, starting at 3am. That early, all people see is the white range rover, and the flourscent coat. Amazing how everybody used to pull over to let me past. :D

I used to put my old merchant navy cap on the parcel shelf when I had one... that worked a treat

West Yorkshire Police has taken delivery of a fleet of L322's for the Traffic Police.
I haven't seen one yet, but I'll get them to 'help me with my enquiries', next time I speak to a Traffic Officer in good old A&E

That's the same as a friend used to do with his white Omega, he had a Hi-Viz slipped on the front seat back-rest

Used to have a beacon on the 90 when it was a van, always fancied painting a plastic pint blue

Go to ARCO at Ossett, open to non-trade.
Very good (free) catalogue, tools, clothing, etc....

Had the priviledge of collecting a new police car for work. As I'm not a policeman, we had to cover the lights and markings with masking tape.
We got tailed gated by a BMW for about 30 mins, then it started to rain.
The BMW suddenly dropped right back, people stoppped over taking us.
When we stopped for fuel, we noticed the masking tape had gone transparent in the rain. It was amazing the difference to peoples driving! :P
