Was driving back from Wimbledon today on the M25 and a jet black Range Rover Vogue passed me in the outside lane - registration plate LR1.  Absolutely fantastic.  It cut a really imposing figure bombing along.

Blacked out windows - I wonder if it was someone famous, must be very rich as the registration plate alone would cost a small fortune

AFAIK that plate did, or still does, belong to Land Rover.

sounds like a very pricey plate...my old boss had both 1 lbw and lbw 1 on his merc and his mrs's bmw..hate to think what they are worth!

ISTR that Essex County Council own the plate "A1", there was talk of them selling it for around the 400,000 pound mark!!!!

No defenaitly not
it could (bad memory)have been a Land Rover or a 4x4
