Replaced broken timing housing & timing cover. :D

Nice one, one job I would rather not tackle on a tdi, is the timing belt :wink: :?

once youve done a few they become nice n easy,better than doin a service :lol:

Having put the new timing housing and cover on, a new timing belt and tensioner, flushed out the rad, replaced all the fluids and filters not to mention all the welding, I go to refit the PAS pump and find that the bearings are shot! */$"@~^!*
Allthough Paddocks are only £158 I did'nt fancy paying that so I had a rummage around in the garage and found a pump off a 'G' RRC excellent I thought, it looked the same but with a bigger pulley, so I tried swapping the pulleys over */$"@~^!* the flange on the RRC is bigger and the PCD on the bolts is different so the Disco Pulley won't fit.
Now being that I am Going to the London2Brighton run on sunday and I am working friday and saturday I didn't have a lot of time so I decided to make a pulley. I fitted it Last night and all went together ok, started her up and so far so good it seems to work perfectly. :D
