Just watched a program on TV featuring Jeremy Clarkson, trying to trace his ancestors (and their fortune!) as he is a decendent of the Kilners (as in Kilner Jar).
blah, blah blah blah etc.
Points to note:
1) He is having a good dig at enviromentailsts
2) He is driving a Range Rover throughout the program
:D

Well knowing the BBC, they will have sold it soon to there 'relative' UK, so it will soon be on UKHistory or UKStyle.

I like how he described Nottinghamshire as a 'Pointless' county, one that fills in the gap between the other ones !! (Had to laugh i Live in Notts)

Next time you are over, we will have to meet up (only at lunch if it is during the day).

It doesn't seem long ago that they cut down some trees in the Market Place a they were getting in the way of the CCTV
There was an outcry (of course) and now we are getting a new Market Place :D
Mansfield does have a bad reputation, but it's like anywhere, it has good bits and bad bits, I don't have a problem with living here as I live in one of the better areas, work in a good part, and don't have any trouble avoiding the rough areas.
I moved up here from Cambridge, which sounds very nice, but again, it had bad areas - I'm much happier up here.
If nothing else there are loads of off roading opportunities on my doorstep now!

Every area has its bad side, I live out in the vale of Belvoir, and even out here some of the villages have got real problems with the youths and the like.
Havnt been into Mansfield for ages, last time i got lost trying to find the wholesalers, for work.
