Being overtaken by mountain bikers…….
I decided to take a trundle along part of Pedders Way in North West Norfolk Saturday. I didn’t realise just how rutted muddy and narrow one short section had become. I was beginning to think “this is not such a good idea being on my own†but reversing back was trickier then pressing on. Then I noticed the mountain bikers in the mirror behind me. I plodded on until I found a gap in the narrow bank to pull in and let them pass. The lead cyclist stopped to thank me for pulling over. It was a grey-haired lady well splattered with mud, I’m guessing in her sixties. Bit of a laugh when the rest of her clan did not realise she had stopped and all piled into one another. Still despite my best efforts the Disco get me out in the end. And apart from nearly flattening two ramblers laying down in a gateway it was a good afternoon’s entertainment. :D
It was good to see the cyclists tackling the rough section. They must have been true enthusiasts for their pastime. I would have loved to have had a chat with them but they were long gone by the time I got to an open section.

Sounds interesting, were they trying to block your route?
