This just came in today, a local lotus dealership had sold it for £20,000+ and had sent the valeter out to fill it with petrol, filled the tank pulled out of fuel station, 20 yards & BANG, said he was trying to avoid something.
taxi for the valeter or what.

considering the damage is mainly in the middle it looks like someone lost control and hit a lampost

them things are just made of fibre glass, easy enough to fix with enough gaffer tape

when i used to work for a company that specialized in performance tuning they had a well of customer who had 3 or 4 lotus's just for playing along with his fewawi,was goig fine till one evening at knockhill he put his red lotus 340R into the tyres backwards doin a high 4 figure amount of damage & slightly cracked the bodywork,AFAIK he had it repaired by a guy specialising in GRP repair,part of the deal was that said dude would get a shot of the lotus elise aswell,
well cue one lotus elise with a very sore nose after 2 laps with GRP man at the helm :lol: :lol: :lol:
atleast he knew how to fix it :roll:

If it had been mine he would still be stuck under it! :lol: The damage would have been to the roof.
