Title: fuses keep blowing
Post by: Mark2Disco on October 01, 2005, 18:06:34
hi
i had a go in the water last weekend at abingdon
on the way home i notice that the speedo.rev counter and temp gauge were not working
found that fuse had blown and replaced it
soon as i moved off again the fuse blew again
i found that the alternator was not regulating the output
the lights were very bright and the wipers were about to take off
so today ihave fitted a new alternator and lights and wipers etc are ok
but still blowing the fuse for the speedo rev counter and temp gauge
have any of you had this problem? as i know you all like the water
thanks
mark

Do they (or rather does it) blow as soon as you turn your engine on (possible shortcircuit) or do they go at a later stage?

Put a bigger fuse in.

If that blows I use a nail....

NO DONT!!!  Was only joking

Its usually a short.  The water blows fuses as it joins the circuits BUT it should of dried out by now.

Wiring, i HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!      :x  :x  :x
