Post by: Dr Neil on October 09, 2005, 21:06:38
just a thought at the moment.
was just thinking about trying to organise a social event around Christmas and was wondering how many of you (if any) would be interested in coming along?
could try and hire a room, have a disco and maybe even some sort of buffet maybe people bring sarnies, cakes crisps ect.
what do you think!!!!

Sounds interesting.
Could hotels (prices and so forth) be looked into for those of us not local to the area?

I still don't wander too far from home, but if you are having it in your area (Hinkley), that isn't too far, so put me down for at least 2.

 :D

P.S. Scrooge is my hero (that's the accountant in me talking!)

Probably be a good Idea to tell what area you thinking of as I drive an old sieres 3 and I an't driving it to London. It would take me 3 weeks....LOL

That is after I have repaired it 12 times....

And filled it up at the garage with oil and fuel 10 times.....ha ha

There's enough of us round here to either wave on the way past, stop and give you a lift, or possibly tow it down

Failing that we can probably do some sort of car car share deal, or sort something out.

And if you could find somewhere with a function room, and hotel rooms within staggering distance that would be brilliant.

I've done 300 miles in a day in the 2A with no probs (apart from the fuel bill) several times.  Must get an LPG kit........

If no hotel rooms available there is always the nice warm luxury of a trailer tent :(biglaugh):
