:? Just a quick check hoping the answer is not wat i think it will be ....

Ive had a nasty squeel from the front wheel im guessing drivers side for a couple of days and now tonight im getting the squeel and a VERY harsh viberation during acceleration  :cry:  im guessing its the bearing shot but is there anything else i should look for ? many thanks keith

propshaft uj could be giving the bad vibe,

jack the wheel up n take it top n bottom (6 & 12) & push /pull to see of you get any play,this normally shows up wheel bearings & side to side (3&9) shows TRE's

:cry:   hmmm its about right i get the series 3 to work and the discovery packs up

thanks m8 ill have a check tom when i get in from work ive knicked SWMBO freelander keys so im still mobile though :)

had some thing last week wheel baring  and one was all sezed up so get it sorted b4 it stops or it a £400 job

had same thing a few weeks ago

ended up fitting new stub axle damage was that bad :cry:

I had a similar experience on my 200Tdi - bearing failed, new stub axle & hub, £400 or so.

So when the second one started to go, I had the other two replaced pre-emptively.  The irony is, looking back I'm not actually convinced the second bearing was really failing :oops:

it was the uj on the front prop was totally shot.... got a new pair for £40 and with the help of me old m8 rick we changed them over a lot easyer than i expected god only knows wat the garage woulda charged for it..

anyway no more juddering wooo hooo cheers rick :)
