I'd seen it before but did anyone else see the program with Johnny Kennedy. The boy who's skin fell off.
It was absolutely stunning and did make oi cry near the end. It made it into the top 50 best documentaries but I reckon it was the best.
The things he'd do to get a cuddle from nell McAndrew. No one could blame him.
He was a real star and his charity has earned over 1/2 million pounds for Eb sufferers.

Absolutely Blown away by him last night.
His Bravery was astonishing, I felt very humbled watching his life story.
Words can't describe the emotions that I felt.

Sorry, missed the program, so can I ask a stupid question.....
Whats Eb ?
-
Quick cut and paste.
EB - Epidermolysis Bullosa - is a genetic condition where the skin breaks at the slightest touch, causing painful, open blisters and wounds. EB can mean a life of extreme pain, disability and, at its worst it is fatal in infancy. People with severe EB are likely to contract a fatal skin cancer. DebRA provides specialist EB nursing, funds extensive medical research and provides counselling, welfare, respite and advocacy.

Puts our daily moans and groans into perspective doesn`t it

EB - Epidermolysis Bullosa
That rings a bell now, I seem to remember seeing a program about this (but not about him) in the past, hope he is coping with it well.

Whoops....
The documentary was actually about the six, or so, months before he died. He had contracted cancer and knew he had only months to live and decided to make sure EB went high profile as it was hardly ever talked about.
It began with a shot of his brother and mother talking about him as he'd just died. Then all of a sudden you got Johnny doing a running commentary of everything.
The documentary took you from the real highs and lows of Johnny's life (and made me think that my lows aren't all that bad) and through the full range of emotions.
I just loved his face when the glider looped the loop.
Also the engraving of a baked bean can on his coffin as well as Queen Can't stop me now!

Makes you feel very lucky.
