Ive been looking round to pick up a late 80's range rover classic for using backwards and forwards to work, and having some fun in at the weekends
Ive been offered 1 that has no Mot and apparently needs some welding done to it, the inner wings are mentioned, not sure how bad the rust is.
i see the paddocks sell repair panels at £45 each what sort of job is it to do, or could they be patched? rather than repalced
Or is the whole thing liable to be rusted out?

It depends on what else needs welding. I would go and have a look before you buy it!!

usually if the inner wings have gone, the sills are usually corroded. Also check front and rear body mounts;they are the main points.Hope this helps?

For not much more buy an Motd one.
You can end up with a money pit when you start investigating all the work.
Take it for an MOT with the owner and see what it needs as we have all looked at cars thought they where good and missed some thing
