Off road vehicles (4x4s) or SUVs are becoming increasingly popular but these are an even bigger problem...
Indeed - many of the family saloons and small hatches on the market are suffering the same problems as SUV's. QUICK SOMEONE GRAB AN ANTI AND TELL THEM TO SLAP A STICKER ON THEM!

Since when is a Murano not an SUV?
The biggest issue, and the one they need slapping upside the head about, is that if you reduce the number of accidents and folk paid more attention to the road, then the height, width, feel, smell, taste of your bumper becomes meaningless.
It isn't the bumper thats the problem, its the zorb-ball behind the wheel.
So educated these people, yet so blind.

Another significant problem is that even where bumpers initially appear to engage during a crash, they often slip off one another due to their curved design.
Then they should make the front an back of cars more upright and flat......just like my Jeep! :shock:
Bills of thousands of pounds would be reduced to just a few hundred pounds if bumpers were properly positioned and strengthened, he said.
"How often do you see a woman and her children stranded by the roadside having had a minor accident when with the right kind of bumper protection she could have driven to safety?"
And next week we will mainly be campaining about the same strengthened bumper...
When it kills said child cos he ran out into the road!!!!

:shock: i am seriously confused now... 4x4's are too big but bumpers not big enough, then they call little cars big cars, but complain the bumpers are the wrong size... and isn't it a little sexist with the quote about women being stranded, thought we were all equal ...although some of us have bigger ones than others :lol:

Could other non- 4x4 cars not have their bumpers raised to the same height just in case of said accidents? :roll:

Bizzarely enough that's one of TRL's more sensible suggestions! Taken to it's logical conclusion we should drive 4x4's!
